Why We Walk - Barbara Hague
Just over nine years ago I made a promise. My sister’s breast cancer had come back, this time in her brain. I had just taken her to her first brain radiation treatment. We both knew her time was short, but I wanted her to know that I would keep fighting, so I made a promise to do whatever I could to find a cure for breast cancer.
I was fortunate to meet a wonderful group of women and men that felt the same way, so we formed Tri-Valley SOCKs. Now in our ninth year, we are approaching the milestone of $1 million dollars! My sister would be proud.
To those of you reading this thank you for participating and helping me fulfill my promise. To my SOCKs family, I love you dearly.
