About Tri-Valley SOCKs (Stepping Out for Cancer Kures)
Tri-Valley SOCKs is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit corporation organized and existing under the California State Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. Organized in 2004, we are dedicated to raising money for local breast cancer charities in support of uninsured patients, breast cancer research, treatment, and educational programs. Tri-Valley SOCKs operates with no paid staff and is run completely by hardworking, dedicated, and fun-loving volunteers. Our goal is to prove we can change our world and have fun at the same time. Our main fund raising event is the annual "Bras for the Cause" breast cancer walk. We also proudly partner with local businesses during October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.
"Bras for the Cause" is a very popular, unique, and high-energy evening event where walkers travel down the sidewalks of Pleasanton in decorated bras raising money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. Each walker raises a minimum of $200 in tax deductible donations. The post-event
